Official Demon unveilling next month. Yesterday I saw No AWD. It will be formidable on the strip. Also looks like special launch suspension and anti wheelhop launch control. GT500 will do just fine against the ZL1. No worries.
I wish the GT500 was Turbo AWD
Looking like they scraped the twin turbos to cut costs, so look for a blown 5.2 (unsure on what crank). Hate bean counters.

Exactly.
I find it funny V8 guys are all about PD superchargers because they worry about turbo lag... even though they already have monster displacement, base line HP and gobs of torque.
I would be thrilled to have a twin turbo GT500 over a supercharged one.
I don't know which I like more whistle or wine. One of each then.

Everything else whines domestically speaking. The big draw for this car would be to be the only American factory TT V8. IMHO anyway.
Not to mention the reduction in heat and engine stress and the elimination of parasitic power loss.
At these numbers the supercharger is sucking up 50-100hp
Read today that the Demon will have some kind of "killer chiller" type set-up for the intercooler system.
