Cruising speed of 560mph...
But 264,000lbs dry weight.... soo
I don't understand bro? Not sure if you're being facetious or not?
It's fast. Sticks with GT500's/Z06's on the drag strips, even though it's a heavier car. That's saying something.

He's talking about the plane not the car.

With the latest tests out on the ZL1, Ford needs to be listening. I think we can rest assure the incoming GT500 should top it all around. As for the Demon, I doubt they targeted it. Let the Dodge boys play in a straight line. Be cuz sadly they still won't beat the Tesla at the strip. With Fords latest hard commitment back to NASCAR and LeMans they are hard at work to build best all round track beasts. I hope I am right.

The Tesla Model S P100D w/Ludicrous Speed upgrade does the 1/4 in 10.7-10.8 & traps 122-124...The reason for that 1/4 is it doing 0-60 in 2.5 seconds..after that, electric cars decline in performance rather quickly. It's fast, but the Demon will beat the Tesla. The stock cat with just tires matches the Tesla's ET & traps higher. The Demon is fixing the traction issue that the Hellcats have (no widebody & 275s )..plus reducing weight & adding power & then some..Easily expect low 10s from the Demon, which is being pretty modest.

P.S. I'm not sack riding the Hellcat..it's a pig of a car (Challenger or Charger)...the ZL1 might lose straight line to it, but it'll win in the turns..if I didn't need room for a car seat, I'd jump all over the new ZL1 1LE...If a GT500 does come out, that'll make things interesting. Speculation is fun, but so far..no GT500.

Let's face it, the 2013 GT500 flat out humiliated Al O. I mean he was on forums posting, for christ's sake.

He put the humiliation to good motivational use. I think the Auto ZL1 1LE will dust a hellcat, and maybe match the Demon in a straight line, if not on whatever tires it comes with, on DRs.

Ford on the other hand, appears to be asleep when it comes to pony car performance. Frankly I don't see the GT500 exceeding the ZL1 1LE by much in a straight line, and being behind on a road course.

Ford really needs something. I mean the GT is nice, but it's priced like an exotic. I bet the C8 is competitive with it at 1/3 the price.

My dream car would be the 05 GT priced as it was in 05, how's that for progress. I'd still rather have a used 05 than the new one.

The GM guys will have plenty to crow about, an obtainable mid engine car, or a 4 seater kick ass pony car. They have all price and performance points covered.

It's already been confirmed the Demon will Not be AWD
Also the passenger seat and or rear seats are optional with an optional 4pt roll bar which I believe is aftermarket to by pass certain laws
Huge Ford fan here and always will be but the Demon is truly awesome just for the fact Dodge is building it!
Rumored to run 9.66 in 1/4
It really is a drag racers dream right off the show room floor with a warranty

Wondering if Dodge will warranty this car given that it's built to race, or if it will be a "limited warranty".
Secondly, I can only imagine the ADM on this vehicle and it will certainly bring top dollar which will be out of reach for many people, unless they're mortgaging their future or willing to pay $1000 monthly car payments.
Either way, it's a very cool concept and I applaud Dodge for what they're doing.

Oh didn't see anything from Dodge confirmed it was RWD, could you provide a link please? It just seemed to me to make sense to be AWD given their recent development of the platform and the confirmation of having a 315 tire up front. Bummer if it's not, but still looking forward to the GT500.

dodge.com/en/ifyouknowyouknow

It explains ALL of your questions (why the 315 is up front)

Thanks but not that concerned that I want to look through 212 pages of a forum for something allegedly said by Dodge, lol. Like I said, bummer if it's not but still a Ford guy and waiting patiently for the next GT500.

It has 315 drag radial up front as a spare for the rears and comes with a tool box with everything needed to swap on the included skinnies for the front
Again pretty amazing from the factory
Wish Ford would build a cobra jet for the street!

Makes me want to turn a Demon into a corner carver. Sounds like a fun challenge. Bet that'd piss off a lot of people.
But a street legal Cobra Jet would be a really cool idea. You could possibly consider the GT500 a watered down version of it. Although Ford is clearly not interested in talking about the new Shelby.

Oh, which one of those videos says it's RWD and why it has 315 up front because I didn't see them?

Crate video shows it has frontrunners, no reason to put front runners on an AWD vehicle.

In addition, 3rd law video shows the upgraded suspension with only rear wheels spinning. Plus the driveshaft video....

Ok, like I said before, bummer they aren't making it AWD. Rumor mill says only 50hp more, sounds like a bunch of accessories and a nameplate to jack the price of the car up instead of having more performance mods.
