We own 5 cars with two drivers. All of them get driven every week for different reasons. Currently looking to buy a solid track car to play with.

Multiple toys suck.
And I only have 2 toys.

My T-bird sits in a barn. I have zero time and no other place to have it. It's been in that barn for a couple of years now...
I'm hoping that in a few years I can finally have a garage to put it in.

IMO comes down to how comfortable you are financially and if you still have a passion for your older car(s). For me, I couldn't justify having multiple "fun" cars even if the payments were low/one was paid off. I would just think about how that money could go to better use(a la investing) than slowly depreciating sitting in the garage.
This. Everyone is different and you're allowed to spend your money how ever you'd like. With that being said, I think its stupid to get another toy when you don't drive the cobra now.

Post pics of the hellcat you'll inevitably buy.

I actually just paired down my fleet by selling my Cobra. I didn't drive it much. Yes it was paid off, but I was still paying insurance and registration for something that sat most of the time. In about 18 months, I plan to pair it down again when I turn in my Fusion (DD), sell my E55, and combine the 2 into a C63 as a DD. The Boss isn't going anywhere, so I'll still have a fun 2 door. I'm in good financial shape and there was no burden having the cars, but I'm not Jay Leno or Treynor. A fleet of even 4 cars (5 including my girl's) was tough, so for me pairing it down was the right call.

It really depends on your situation. My girl knows I love cars and wasn't going to ask me to sell something, even if it sat, but I know she is happier will the money from the Cobra going into our house remodel.

Kind of what I did. Sold the Shelby and the 745. Now I got the S65 to cover both of those. Honestly, I feel like the Benz is a little faster than the Shelby lol

I recently sold my Z06 because I did not drive it enough. It often stayed in the garage and I drove a 2008 Grand Cherokee. The 08 Jeep is nice, but started to question why I had a $45k car that just sat in the garage except for nice days--even on those days I took it to work and not to mountain roads or the track. I finally decided to sell the Corvette and get a nice daily driver that is more practical to my everyday life. It's only been a few weeks, but I'm glad I made the decision.

I've been toying with the idea of restoring/building a fox body to satisfy my desire for a fun/toy car. The corvette was too nice for me to really enjoy--I was always worried about damaging the car, stacking on miles and generally trying to keep it pristine. I want something more affordable that I am not scared to thrash, break and stuff into a wall at the track.

I was recently in the EXACT same situation with my Z06. Sold it in December and am now working on an LS swap 73 Datsun 240z

Come on Ford! Hurry up. I might be selling my 2 garage queens for one nice toy. I only have room for 3 cars. My middle son is about to get a car that will use up garage space.

my buddy has 23 (at least, may have gone up) project cars. some of which are beasts. and 3 very fast boats, one a project racing boat. lol. he has trouble finding parking for them. he has four drive on lifts in his backyard with cars on and under them.

parking is my biggest issue. i have decent lot space but i dont want to cram it full of cars. plus the cost of insurance/registration here is nuts. seems like i have a smog/reg due every other month. just did one truck, have two more to deal with in the next 2 months. and my mustang doesnt just smog. i have to "go back to stock" to get it to pass.

the thing i dont get is when people have multiple cars that are the same. two cobras, two lightnings, etc.. unless one is seriously built and the other is the cruiser. the way i look at it for myself, and try to justify it to my better half, is that i have a toy for different things. the fast car, a convertible, a 4x4, etc....

all that would go out the window if i won the lotto though lol.

I don't get that, either. Why have two (or more) of the same car but in different colors?

I have a 66 weekend/show drivers and a 99 Trans am for DD/rainy days, but mostly commute on the motorcycle now.

It's a bit of a headache maintenance wise, especially since I can only do basic repairs myself.

Worth it though, but I cannot fathom getting another car until I make enough money that I can take it to a shop to fix the little things that I barely have time for as is.
