2011 GT500 Strange Noise

Hey guys so I recently bought a 2011 Gt500 SVTPP with 30k miles. I love the car so far but I was having issues with reverse grinding so I took it to the dealer, they changed the synchro and reverse gear now the problem is gone. But now every time I accelerate in 1st gear and let the transmission slow the car while in traffic I heard a loud whining noise as if its coming from the trans but not for sure. and it will go away if I accelerate again. Any ideas as what it could be?

You're probably just hearing your driveshaft.

But that noise was never present before I had the synchro and reverse gear swapped out. But if it is the driveshaft just making more noise should I be worried or what can I do to quiet it down?

It's odd if it wasn't there before. I have an aluminum driveshaft and it sounds like what your just described. However, I can hear my driveshaft on deceleration in any gear.

Is it just in first gear that you hear it?

It is first and second gear I hear it the most noticeable. I can't say I hear it in any of the other gears.

Take it back to the dealer and tell them it started after their tech worked on the car. Make them figure it out for you.

Don't be too worried about it, it's not going to be a huge issue. But I'd definitely have them figure it out for you.
