Well I decided to post about my build that I'm finally about to be partially done with. Tim at MPR built the engine. The build consist of a new 5.8 block, Darton sleeves, billet Manley rods, billet Sonny Bryant crank, diamond pistons, ported heads complete with MPR spec'd custom cams, the accufab catalog on timing components so hopefully the timing system will be bullet proof. I decided early on I wanted to see what a big blower could make so I went with a 4.5L whipple to feed it. A 15% lower with a 3.25 upper should get boost into the high 20's and for fuel it will be on VP C85 and FTW purple to see what that gains over C85. The car should be tuned tomorrow by Lund at JPC racing. The person with the closest guess wins a $25 Starbucks gift card (I can't seem to give this card away so what better way then this)

What pumps and injectors? That will be your limiting factor

T56 magnum for now until I put the 4l80 in. Hopefully the clutch holds it. Triple 465 walbro's with ID1700's. I had planned to use 2000's but Lund said he prefers the 1700's for driveability. Fuel shouldn't be a problem. The dyno there is a dyno dynamics so that will read lower then a dynojet.

Dammit I'm not a fan of that dyno when making guesses. Too hard to compare if not Dynojet or Mustang.
Anyway, it's just a tool, the real test comes at events, for both man and machine :)
Good luck buddy I know it's a big day.

Those dynos read all over. My guess is 1292 depending on compression.

Dyno Dynamics is rough on egos but by far the best for accurately loading the car. 1700's and triple pumps will be plenty. I'll say 1250

'By far the best' eh? I'd say that's something tough to prove, but that's good to know they are quality tool. Just hard to compare numbers whenthere's so few in relation to more popular dynos.
Loaded dynos are better tuning tools, but I'm assuming settings can be changed?
With my turbo car, I found nothing can load it compared to the track.
Get it close on the dyno and finish it at the track.
What are you building it more for---1/4 mile or longer top speed events?
Great mod list either way.

My car was dynoed at Jpc after I put in a 4l80e auto trans. With a very mild safe pump gas (14.5 deg of timing 11.0 AF) it made 667 whp on their dyno dynamics. With the exact tune but on a hot day it made 662 whp sae on a dynojet.
