I read this, because I'm considering the swap:

What makes the Modern Driveline/TREMEC T-56 Magnum XL a slam-dunk for any 2005-15 V-6 or V-8 Mustang is a fiercely rugged and dependable demeanor. The MT-82 transmission just isn’t up to the task it was planned for. It was developed to withstand 375 ft/lbs of torque. The 5.0L Coyote delivers 390 ft/lbs. Go figure. http://moderndriveline.com/Technical_Bits/T56_Magnum_XL_Quick_Swap.htm

Can anybody dispute this?

The MT82 is designed to support 375 ft/lbs of torque in a 10,000lb truck. I would imagine it can support quite a bit more in a car that weighs less than half of that.
The weak points are a pretty bad factory clutch, soft shift forks (and drivers that love to hulk smash gears), and the syncros.

Also a version of the MT82 is used in the E90 BMW M3... but it is the German made version. Mustangs use the Chinese made version. The biggest issue with doing a T56 swap is the trans gear ratios are much taller and wider spaced than the MT82.

You can get the MT82 built by Ben Calimer and it will handle a lil bit more. A good clutch will do wonders for it even with the stock shifter. The clutch is the main issue with this car for high velocity shift changes.
