Called Whipple and they largely agreed that the 2.9L was not a sizable enough difference over the TVS on a stock motor car especially leaving it pretty mildly tuned on 93 octane for daily driving. Given all the feedback I'm going to pass on the 2.9 for now and go w JLT CAI, FRPP dual 65mm TB, LT's, high flow catted mid-pipe, 2.4" upper pulley, and a custom tune. If that gets me 675rwhp or better with good drivability I'll be very happy until circumstances or finances allow for the car to become a garage queen/full build.

So I completely reversed course. Got a great deal on a barely used Whipple 2.9, FRPP Dual 65mm TB, SW 1 7/8" LT's and Hi-Flo Catted H-Pipe. I couldn't pass it up. Getting installed in 2-weeks along w ID1000's, JLT CAI, NGK Plugs, 170 thermo, and custom dyno tune. Will pulley for 18psi peak boost and hopefully a safe ~ 700rwhp - 730rwhp. Will have plenty of upside remaining for later if I want a race gas tune w smaller pulley. I'll share results when doneX

Best to get in touch with Van at Revan. I worked with him on mine. Got it to 692rwhp/683rwtq. It was plenty. More than that and you are feathering throttle or skating the rear end even on upgraded rear tires

Grab the following:
2.4 Upper
90mm Idler or BPS Aux Idler
Dual 65 CJ Throttle Body
PMAS Intake
Lund Gauge with Tune(lots of good tuners but Lund has the Remote tuning down for sure ) VMP as well on the remote tuning
AFCO or VMP Heat Exchanger
Dynatech Headers and X pipe

Easy 700Rwhp Combo

Then some 315 Drag Radials for the Rear to Enjoy the Power.

Give VMP a call or BPS they can supply all your needs and are more than just middle men.

+1 for TVS Vert.
I had nearly identical: I ran just Off road H per Van, but no exchanger. But definitely suggest the 315 DR's to have real fun launching.:D

755rwhp w/10% lower, full bolt-ons, stock blower, on 93. IMO getting a bigger blower just for 700rwhp is a waste of money when you can get there for a bit less than what I have.

Nice you can always turn it up and make ~900 on some good fuel with the 2.9.
