2014 Porsche Turbo S, Guards Red

I had a client drop off his Turbo S for a session with Autodermatology to get it ready for a big car show next weekend. It’s our area’s best and biggest car show. The Cars on 5th show in Naples, Florida. (It’s fantastic!!)

Vehicle is in very good shape, but had your typical minor swirl marks and some hard water spots/etching.

Final result: This read beast is popping like lava out of a volcano!!

Process/tools/chemicals/etc:

Adam’s car shampoo.

MF wash mitt

Daytona speed brushes

Adam’s APC

Tuf Shine tire cleaner and brush

Master Blaster for drying

UWW for vehicle

Rupes MkII 21

Rupes iBrid

Griots 6”

Griots MF fast cutting pads

Megs waxing/finishing disc

Misc white polishing pad

Griots Fast correcting cream

Griots Perfecting cream

Wolfgang Fuzion-LSP (I haven’t used a nuba in a long time…I still love them!)

Kenotek vinyl/rubber for tire dressing

Auto Finesse glass cleaner

Vacuumed via Metro

McKee’s Fast Interior Detailer.

Misc mf towels

I think that’s everything…didn’t do too many pics or anything on this one, I had a full weekend of cars and I was beat!

Enjoy, and as always, comments are welcome!

Nicely done. Quick question, do you recommend using the same manufacture for correcting and finishing or mixing manufactures okay? I was recommended Griots Fast correcting Cream and HD Speed.

Amazing work as always! That car is going to turn heads at the show!

Mixing manufacturers can be mixed results. Do your homework and see who has used them together. I will say that HD speed is an AIO (all in one) polish and sealant. It does a decent job of correcting with a cutting pad but is really used for a one-step/two-step process whereas GG correcting cream should be used for a 3 step. I have used HD speed for light correcting and followed up with HD Poxy for longer protection with pretty good results. I would follow up GG Fast correcting cream with a good polish (GG Perfecting Cream) and then a good wax/sealant/coating etc. At least that's my .02. More opinions would be great!

Thanks. The griots fast correcting cream and HD Speed were recommended to me by a member on autogeek, but hadn't done much research on that combination. I thought maybe using the same manufacture would be better since their products will more than likely work best together, but wasn't sure. I did do some research and liked what I had read/heard on Menzerna and ended up buying Menzerna Heavy Cut Compound 400 and
Menzerna Super Finish SF-3500. Once the weather permits, i'll try them out and hopefully get some good results.

Sometimes I mix, sometimes I don't. On this particular job I did not. I stuck with one manufacturer.
I've received great results with both methods.

It's hard to explain why/how: Sometimes I see the results I'm getting and 'know' what I will follow up the initial cut/hit stage with.

To make it easy, stick with one brand, they are 'proven' to work well together and should insure you good results.

Thanks, appreciate the help. For the time being I'll stick with the same manufacturer. Hopefully with time, I'm able to get to your guys level and have the knowledge you guys do.
