After getting back after the last race at NJMP we had some issues that had formed in the car along with some upgrades with our final race at Summit Point. The first order of business was looking into the rear axle. Something happened to it but wasnt sure what at this point.

It turns out that the actual axle tube had rotated in the housing. It had broken off the bottom plug weld as seen in the picture. I thought that since we were road racing we wouldn't need our tubes welded but I was wrong! Get your tubes welded!

What happens when you rear axle is trash? You pick up a Cortex Cambered rear end of course!
Boy is this a sexy piece. We are currently running it at -1.5* of camber.

Next on the list was to install ABS in the car, I actually had to buy an entire V6 to steal the brake lines and computer out of it.

After that we were off to Summit Point for our test day! Everything went great and car was dialed in, So we stuffed it in the trailer for 2 weeks getting ready for the race.

Usually we have a couple other drivers that come with us, but for this race it was just my dad and I. Over the course of the weekend we ran 9 hours each and 300+ laps. We ran a really clean race both days and came out with our first win on both days! Also ended up finishing 4th overall out of the 55 Cars their! For now have these photos, In car video will be added later!

That is really cool you have the ability to build and race your cars with your dad and friends. That would be an amazing experience. Keep the updates coming this winter. Ill be interested in what you have in store.

I'm so jealous. You guys did an awesome job with the car.

Did the new rear end effect the driving style of the car? It seems like with the extra camber out back the car might want to understeer a bit more mid corner, am I wrong to assume that?

Thank you everyone, As far as the Rear It has not affected the car by making it understeer at all. The car feels like it is on rails.

But next event is this weekend and we are loaded up!

SCCA VIR 13 hour event!

For this race there will only be two of us, Doing everything on the car.

Stints will be 1:30 -1:45 Maybe longer, We will run until the tank runs out.

I didnt think we could end off the season better than the last race but we made it happen! We dicided to venture to our first SCCA endurance race. Since it was a last minute decision we ran the race with only 2 drivers - Eric and Alex Rockwell. No pit crew, and no off track support. Great father/son effort against some high level professional competition. Many Imsa, Continental Series, and Pirelli World Challenge Teams were left in the dust! Beating them was more satisfying than we care to admit!

1st place was 1.5 laps ahead, and if we had more pit and paddock help, we could have easily have won. 4 pit stops X 4.5 min each vs. their 2.5 min stops = .5 lap win. Oh well, next time we will plan a little further in advance. Still very happy with our finish and with our 2016 season.

The new Canards worked great and could defiantly feel the improved the front end grip in the Esses. We still have a few tricks up our sleeve for 2017!

The fastest lap I ran was a 2:10.85, Mind you we were also on 275 200tw Street tires, and the car had more!

Had the pleasure of seeing this car in person being shaken down at NJMP Thunderbolt with my buddy being the new driver a couple of weeks ago. Your dad is a cool guy and the build is awesome. Lots of luck to you guys in the future!

Car is looking great!

Also looks like it's running well.

Thanks for all of the updates!

We are just completing our AER car build but in a totally opposite direction. We did a coyote 5.0 with the stock 6spd in a 1986 Cougar.

Good luck down there!

Who's Boss was that? I used to crew in that series for a few years.

Wish we were ready but we aren't. Our first event will be Watkins in April.
