My whole thought while reading this thread. Op already stated he hadnt removed those bolts....lol unbolt lower with blower bolted on, lift up and unbolt the i/c bolts, set back down and unbolt blower and boom. Using a crowbar to try and pry off the blower is a nonoIf he hasn't removed the I/C adapter bolts it won't move. Haha. Read a how to on blower removal before you damage anything.
That would be one that is flipping clueless. Wow.What speed shop?
Yeah lmao and I will hit the send button without looking every time. I have seen many new Aircraft Mechanics trash a composite panel trying to remove laminate or a sealed on bracket with a heat gun. We even had it added to boeing maintenance manuals and vendor component maintenance manuals. So take it for what it's worth. But there is no way they used Grey Permatex or it would come off with a little heat and some elbow grease or there is still some hardware holding it on as well. But like I said with a very strong adhesive dry ice will freeze it making the adhesive so brittle it flakes off. I can get it at work but a lot of local bakeries sell it maybe even Wal-Mart.I was dying when you got autocorrected to desalination....hahahaha. I did product development on resins for composites for years and knew exactly what you meant, but was laughing a little too hard. Damn phones.
One of the best recommendations in this thread is for the OP to find and read a good "how to remove the blower". Not only will it ensure you have no hardware remaining that needed to be removed, but you'll see the proper way to remove it. I wouldn't do anything else at this point until you're absolutely clear on the removal steps. And don't attempt any short cuts. Do it right! JMO.
I know!!! Did it come off??Is he going to come back to let us know if he was able to remove it? I have to know!!
