Thanks don't want to buy the wrong one again! Is it still loud with those mufflers? As you can see others say it kills the rasp

Cheapest bet is to buy a Lethal O/R H and try it. I'm running a Lethal O/R H with Flowmaster Outlaw axle backs and do not have any rasp.

I learned my X vs H lesson with my 2006 3 valve. I ran an X and the car only had 1 sound until 3500RPMs, where the exhaust note would finally change. I switched to an H, and I could hear the RPMs change throughout the whole range.

I'm an H pipe fan on these mod motors.

Yea mine is an odd sound kind of hard to describe almost like its not a mustang or something like that. I have heard so many different things.

The H pipe was my first though then a bunch of people on here said its not that change up the mufflers so who knows I need to make a decision today though I am getting tired of the sound it has

Buy an H for a quick, cheap, easy fix. You then have both mid pipes to choose from, if you decide to change mufflers. I'm sure someone would buy the one you choose not to use.

I posted the current setup. Just look through the channel and there's a couple without resos and one with smallest reso.

Gt500, the majority of the rasp you are experiencing is a result of the catless midpipes, and is then further accentuated by the X and muffler type. To reduce rasp, your exhaust will need more muffling ability which can be done in a number of ways: swap to a catted midpipe, swap to larger rear muffler, or install another pair of circular mufflers somewhere else in the system. Our mufflers are tuned for the deepest sound possible, so they do a great job at combating raspy tones. If there are any other questions we can answer, you can drop us a PM at any time!

Do you offer a straight through design full body muffler like the Corsa extreme? I like the volume from my bullet style mufflers but not the sound.

Yes! Almost all of the mufflers we offer use a straight through design, and we have units as big or as small as you would like. You can take a look at the full line here on our website:
http://www.magnaflow.com/automotive-performance/mufflers/straight-through/

Or we have our Street axleback system #15593, which is a direct bolt on to your stock exhaust, and has a more conservative sound.

I think the American thunder is a chamber style muffler=rasp, I bought a set of macs with my off road h pipe and it was horrible!!!
went back to the stock mufflers and it isn't too bad, but probably going to get magnaflows down the road.

So the #15593 is a straight through design? It looks like a chambered muffler from the enter/exit ports.

Yes, that is correct. All of our performance exhaust systems and universal mufflers use a straight-through perforated core design, with the exception of the XL series mufflers.

I took off my flowmaster outlaws off my 2007 GT500. I had the off road x as well. Raspy loud only reason i took it off was so i can hear the supercharger whine. I have the ford racing sport mufflers quieted it down alot.
