How 'bout some opinions on deleting the resonators! I know the 'R' comes without resonators. I have seen a few videos with the sound but it really doesn't give me enough. Does it change the sound significantly?

You can have the resonators removed and replaced with a straight section of pipe or have them removed and have the Corsa Xpipe installed.

I'd be interested in hearing both so I can decide which route to go.

In the video I seen of the shop cutting them out it looked like it had an x pipe already. They did replace the resonators with a straight run of pipe. Keep me informed if you find any videos on the corsa set up.

It changes the sound significantly. I had mine removed a couple months after purchase and I'm glad I did. After you do it drive it around in second or third gear between 3-3,500 RPM's and feather off the throttle. The sound is amazing.

I did mine; cost $80 at a local muffler shop. The sound quality of the clip may not give a good indication of the sound, but it's damn nice! Especially when it snaps, crackles, and pops upon letting off the gas. BTW, those are not my dogs!

Yea sounds good. I had mine done the other day. It did change the sound. I'm up in the air rather I like it or not. Seems to be a higher pitch without them and it doesn't seem to backfire quite as much

Isn't that a good thing then? Sounds more like an exotic.

It's by far nothing bad. Both ways the car sounds great!! I notice a difference when I start it also. I guess it boils down to self preference. I'll leave them off a while then may put them back on later. The good thing about it is it's only around $100 to try it out to see if you like it or not

When replacing with a straight piece of pipe, is the piece welded in place, or can you use exhaust sleeve clamps like the factory exhaust is held together with?

Go to the Obsessed Garage channel on Youtube. He has a bunch of sound clips with and without the resonators on his Track Pack. He also did American Racing headers with, I believe, Corsa mufflers. It almost sounds Ferrari-esque in the upper range.

American Racing full exhaust (has cats but no resonator) with stock intake.

Right? It's SO tempting.

BlackBerry. Because the blacker the 'Berry, the sweeter the use.
