I'm not sure HP will be the answer much longer. Ford needs to be proactive. 700hp and handling characteristics not far off from the GT350 would get the job done, when coupled with being able to run low or flat 11's in stock trim. The next GT500 needs to be Ford's version of the all around great R35 GTR. Will run around the corners and rape you at the strip.

This.

I want to see it be AWD.

It only makes sense as Ford moves the Mustang into a Global Sports car position.

Ford can then spring board into offering a lower cost AWD system for basic cars. This will make the car even more appealing to import kids, and as a daily for those in the snow belt.

BMW, Audi, Lexus, Infiniti and Cadillac all run this model.

Everything about what you just said sounds horrible.

we can make that happen. Put a whipple on a GT350 two weeks ago.
Made 751whp / 535wtq

That sounds awesome. I really what to go this route. Hopefully the car will be paid off by the end of Summer, and then I'll have one put in the car.

That dyno chart looks like some impressive hp is made. I would love to adjust the tune a bit to optimize torque more so than horse power.

What the Hellcat should've been in the first place. Things will really be rocking when it goes on the Giorgio platform.
Hopefully Ford can match the Hellcat/Demon. Then again I do like Challengers a lot.

I agree with you sir!
Please post up when you have your added power. A supercharged GT350 would be an awesome machine.

The Demon’s 315s Nitto DR's ought to give it some hook, and the The license plate in the Dodge promo stuff reads “#2576@35,” That translates to 2.56 Liter Blower at 35"Hg. boost or 17 Psi. I suspect it will have a "Race Gas" tune, special key, Knock sensors galore, whatever.
So what is Ford's Answer to an 800 HP lead sled?

ah wow good call did not make that connection with the blower, assuming it was torque ratings or something.

Take a coyote roadrunner mill and throw 10psi at it via 60's and lock the heads from 4500rpm up. Is this really a subject of contention or debate? Please.

Modular a have been making 800hp (725whp) for 12 years with lower boost than a 13 gt500 had.

Put modern tech to the system and today's block and head architecture, and you'd have to be a total pessimist to think ford can't put together an 800hp combo.

Keep in mind, the stang is going to get a full redo in 2022 or sooner so they will have to put together some swan song models to keep people buying the s550 otherwise they'll just wait to bite into the new models.

Not to get off topic, but wow, that's impressive. I was going to say, GT350 handling characteristics with 750hp, but yea, that's so yesterday apparently, holy smokes what fun that car must be, thanks for posting that info.

Dodge knows that they will never be able to compete in handling with the other two rivals, so they went balls deep into making the fastest drag racer of all of them. You have to applaud that.

^ they certainly achieved it. I bet handling will be greatly improved on the Giorgio platform. LX platform doesn't excel in that category.
