Positive Review

I just wanted to take a few minutes and leave a positive review for Discount Tire. A store recently opened up down the street from me in Chesterfield, VA. I took my Cobra to several other places because I knew that something, likely the front tires themselves, were causing a vibration in the front end. I had the front end aligned and the front two tires balanced by two different places. At this point I was pretty sure it was mostly in the front tires. By chance on the way home i took my car to Discount Tire. Before I could even walk inside someone was asking me how he could help me. It probably didn't hurt that I drove up in an all black Cobra.... I told him my problems and that I just wanted to price out some tires. He asked if I had had my tires balanced and I explained to him that I had done so twice. He asked if he could balance them for me on his state of the art road force balancer and that he wouldn't charge me. He was confident that his equipment and his employees were superior to the other places and wanted to prove it to me or at least try. I had my 12 year old with me and he asked me if he could get me some water or hot chocolate and he made it for me (its the little things).

To make a long story short the tires were too bad for them to be able to do much with them. But he quoted me a really good price on two new tires so I went ahead and put down a deposit so he could order them. Come to find out the tire they quoted was discontinued so they ordered the newer version. The newer version was $50 more expensive per tire but they honored the original quote.

When I left practically everyone working told me goodbye and thank you for stopping by....

A genuine desire to help, a smile, and a few small kind gestures go a long way in today's world. Not many companies do much more than briefly look in your direction and say "Welcome to BLAH BLAH" then look away.

I don't leave positive reviews often...because there aren't often positive experiences that are significant enough to mention.

So thank you Direct Tire. I'll be back!! (Terminator....get it??)

While I don't always go to Discount tire, I've never had a bad experience at any location.

One store even patched tires I didn't buy from them, because I had bought tires from them years before.

I was a customer of Discount Tire before I started working here over 11 years ago. Discount Tire treated me right every time I went into one of the stores and they helped me in a pinch more than once.

Now that I work here I can tell you that internally, this company is no different than the way it appears in our stores. The owner, Mr. Halle, watches out for each of his over 15,000 employees and we all work very hard to do what's right for our customers.
