Hey so my speed shop sent my 2.8kb out to get rebuilt 2 years ago, they used grey RTV all around to install it. I have all of the bolts out on the drive and passenger side. The only bolts left i see are the ones that hold the bypass valve on. Pretty sure those dont have to come out? Anyway even using a razor blade or screw driver or a sharpened putty knife i cannot get this blower plate off. It feels like i could pic the car up with the bond the RTV has created. Just seeing if anyone has any ideas on how to remove it.

Heat it up on low with a heat gun...then use a screw driver

Man, that is retarded. I hate when people do stuff like that. Take the time to buy a new gasket and install it correctly. Now you have to deal with this kind of crappy workmanship. I hope it's not JB weld. That would be beyond retarded to do that. Let us know how you get it apart.

Is it flexible i believe this is what they used. I put a flat crowbar on the part that sticks out in the first picture and flattened the crowbar and it didn't move.

If it has gasket maker as well, and it won't come off, then I would only worry about the blower at that point. However, you have more area/room to pry on the lower in the valley area of the block if that's the case.

There are 10 bolts to the lower intake, is that how many you removed?

Did you also remove the intercooler adapter already?

I wouldn't want to put huge pressure on it. But trying to pick it up by the blower snout would give better leverage. Maybe enough to get a screwdriver between the two.

As said above, remove the 10 lower intake bolts then the entire unit should move/slide around slightly. If it doesn't move it too might be improperly sealed. The Ultra Grey can be tough to separate the parts so you might want to use an engine hoist to help with the weight. Removing the blower and intake as one unit might be your best option.

Use a torch to heat a thin putty knife , or a metal bondo spreader , then push it in the seam while hot.

As said by big moose the intercooler adapter will hold up the blower as if it is still bolted on

I removed the ten bolts that attach the blower mounting plate to the lower intake, I did not remove the intercooler adapter, does the intercooler adapter bind up the blower inside because from the outside I can't see how that would stop the plate from moving freely

PS thanks for the help

It won't make it bind but it will hold it together. Once the gasket comes loose there will be some wiggle room. However, once it does separate you don't want to damage the couplers in there from the sudden force.

I think you need to pull plate and both tubes from intercooler to just pull top..

I always pull with lower than work easy

you need to heat up the metal. the RTV will turn into goo. at that point you should be able to force if off...
