Gals and Gents,

A few months back I asked about fitment on my 2012 GT500 SVT and received some good information affording me the opportunity to learn a bit more about fitment. I have looked into several different wheel and tire sizing options and came to a conclusion. I just wanted to confirm with some experts about my sizing conclusion and insure I will not have any fitment issues. As of right now the suspension in completely OEM. Below are the OEM tire/ wheel sizing followed by my purposed sizing. Please let me know if I am off base.

OEM

Front wheel: 19x8.5 Offset/ factory
Front Tire: 255 40R19

Rear Wheel: 20x9.5 Offset/ factory
Rear Tire: 285 35R20

Purposed Fitment

Front wheel: 20x8.5 28mm offset
Front tire: 255 40R20

Rear Wheel: 20x10.5 45mm offset
Rear tire: 315 35R20

Honestly I am not 100% sure 315s will fit and I will have to go with a 305 30R20 or 295 35R20. If anyone has a better fitment set up let me know! Thanks in advance for any advice you can share with me!

I run 20x11 +56 in the rear with 325/30r20.

Here's the thread I made last Spring. Lots of good info and links to other threads. https://www.svtperformance.com/forums/threads/yet-another-tire-thread-325-30r20.1109191/

20x10.5 +45 will stick out roughly 0.25" from your fenders. You're also running a tire roughly 1" taller than stock.

edit: I also recommend going with a wider tire up front unless you're only going straight. 255 up front on such a nose heavy car isn't going to help cornering.

i think ur OEM specs are off -- my front Svtp have 265/40/19 -- i easily went up to 275/40/19 nittos

I will put some 305/35/20s on the rear

Thats what I suspected for the rears. 315 sounded like a stretch. How wide are your rear wheels? Did you just fit 305s on the OEM wheels?

Thanks for that info, as far as i can tell 20x10 with some 305s in the rear is about as far as i can go conservatively with out having to do a lot of work.

stock Svtp wheels -- i will put the rears in Spring but they will fit -- lots of research on the forums -- no problem.

I am also stock height -- another factor you will need to consider.

Yeah as of right now I am stock height as well, though dropping the car about 1.5-2.0 inch may be in my future. I spoke with a guy over at american muscle and his opinion on the matter was a 20x10 with 295 30R20 and 20x8.5 265 35R20. I think I could get away with 305s in the rear, and still be able to drop the car. and also the small sidewall in the rear sounds all wrong to me for some reason, I envisioned at least keeping 35R. I dunno, I guess I need to do more research and or seek more advice.
