Searching around, I know the shape of this fuel hat will not fit the older cars due to the angle of the top:

I've found it at a good price and it comes loaded with 2 Aeromotive pumps. Would there be any reason these pumps wouldn't retrofit into the 07-12 style fuel pump assemblies?

Reason I ask, I contacted Aeromotive direct and they told me they didn't have any drop in solutions that were recommended for the stock GT500 returnless system. Obviously they are using something in this application with the blessing of FRPP, which would make me comfortable enough to run.

Do a search for Aeromotive Stealth 325. I think a few guys used these pumps with the stock fuel hat. I think the FRPP upgrade used the 340 Stealth pumps.

I was under the impression you couldnt replace pumps in the stock hat. Like you would damage the hat just swapping out pumps.

Did i get misinformed?

I'm certain you can. The Terminator guys can (I used to own one). I think the person to ask is Jim @ JDM. He's stated his company does not use BAP's, which to me, means they use bigger pumps. I'd like to know how they do it.

Deatschwerks will want to update their website then, say that pump only goes from 07-10

We don't use BAP's and the reason being it's a band-aid. We are more for the long term upgrade/solution. On a 11-14 car we can typically get about 750-800 RWHP out of the stock fuel system and pumps using larger injectors like the ID1000's. On a 07-10 car (non wide band) we don't get as much fuel control at those power levels so we are usually tapped around 700-750 RWHP.

Beyond these points we use a Fore fuel system with twin 400's or a Aeromotive Cobra JET fuel system (race cars).

Putting the Walboro or Aeromotive (turbine style) pumps into the GT500 hat can be done but the stock fuel pumps are pulse width, not turbine so they are a little tricky to get the tuning right but if done in person we've used that combination before.

I agree . But I assure you they are plug and play install to 2012 and support 800 hp .They will need a tune tweek from what im told. They were more aggressive than my 325 Aeromotives
