Hey everyone, late fall I was headed to work and the car started making this awful noise but was running the same and acting normal but I immediately pulled into a local business and shut it off. There were not lights, no signs of an issue until the noise came up. It happens around 2,000 -3,000 RPM's then stops above or below. It will also make it slightly when I push the clutch in but stops after a 1 or 2 second of engagement. Please listen to the attached video and let me know what you think!

Sorry for the poor Iphone quality!

And potentially how much it would cost to fix if you have a good feeling you know what it is!

If I'm right, it sounds like it could be a rocker arm. Those don't cost too much and should be an easy fix.
Hopefully it's not a rod knock..those suck.

Thanks for the input! I am worried it is a rock knock, based on what people in person have said, none of which are mechanics but still scary. Spring fast approaching I'll have a professional looking into it when the snow and salt is clear!

To add: Not sure if it's important or means anything but the car could run all day without any issues, there is no noise until 2k+ rpm's and stops at about 2500 or 3k. I put it in storage immediately after the noise came about and have not driven the car. Only started to get the video! If it is a rod, hopefully no crank damage.
