Well hopefully I'm not reviving a dead thread. But I just ordered a sniper manifold. I will let you guys know how it performs on a lightly modified car. I currently have long tubes 3 inch catback and an intake. I'm hoping for some decent gains.

Awesome. If it gives the gains its showing, could be promising.
yeah and idk why UPR would be endorsing Holly unless it worked i mean they are like sister companys to each other or anything, so seemed like a legit write up and real testing not just some blogger hyping it up or a sponsored review. ive seen a few boosted people using them and people on big shots of gas cause them boss manifolds just come apart lol ive seen it

What I liked was the fact that the car was tuned prior on the same dyno, vs these other claims of '80whp with xxx manifold' when the car was UNTUNED prior, and on a different dyno.

I wouldn't mind giving it a shot those gains for the price and the torque loss isnt that bad. I waiting now to hear why it isn't worth it

CPR did a test between this manifold and a Boss manifold on a turbo car. The Boss outperformed it.

I think this is a great intake if you NEED a sheet metal manifold, as the composite ones are prone to blowing up under high boost applications. The current Boss and CJ options are better choices for NA and low boost/nitrous applications.

BOSS LOOSES more tq than the holly, and also ive seen a boss manifold blow apart on a 200 shot of gas which isnt even a big shot, being a person who had a boss 302 intake manifold on my s197 5.0 i wouldnt reccomend it again unless it was ported, and on a N/A setup.

Where have you seen that the holley loses less torque vs. the Boss 302 Intake Manifold? Not being smart, I was just wondering. I wish that stang tv included the holley in the comparison they did with the CJ, Boss 302, Stocker, and GT350.

Can you show evidence to support the claim of torque loss? If so, does the Boss's torque loss negate the HP increase? I'm not doubting you, however I've been told by reputable builders that said it's not worth it and I've seen their dyno sheets to back it up; The Boss makes more HP.

Also, Holley simply rebranded the Chinese LSX sheet manifold as their own and called it the "sniper" lol.

As for the manifold blowing up, I assume your buddy was running a 200 shot out of a plate system and not direct port? Cause that's how you get a nitrous backfire on these. My buddy in Texas is running a 300 shot direct port on his Boss intake, no issues there.

I hear you though, I've seen a boss manifold explode from too much boost on a big turbo setup. I've also seen high 7 second coyotes with boss intakes.

Really though, people should just go Cobra Jet!

You have to remember that since UPR is selling it, doesn't mean they fully believe in it. I'm sure just like all the vendors that sell a throttle body spacer. Do you really think they sell it because it truly works?
That being said...since it's different/cheap like the boss and performs like the boss, why not buy it. I might give it a shot too. I'm only running a 100 shot so no worries.
