Cool video. I sorta have gone through or can attest to watching others fall down the ego measuring rabbit hole. In the end, you can't compete with sheer money.

I too fell back into an sn95; but it will stay 'fast for what it is' if you will. Looks like you are going to go full out racecar. Probably cheaper to buy a nicely done roller to make a track car; but I'll def be following along. Nothing like a good story.

Would've sold you a killer clean SN ripe for a part out if going nuts lol

The comment about the egos was compelling. I'll watch some videos of the high powered cars and it seems like it's a group I wouldn't fit in with. I may be completely wrong but it's the impression that I get.

Had my car 3 years too and was ready to sell at 2! Time for something new, not common and not old!

Looking forward to see what you do with the car OP.

I've had mine for two. I have been driving it for less than a year from it either being broken or being down for mods. Been down for 6 months just this year... lol

I'm on the train with you of wanting something newer and less common. Even with the twins on my car, it's nothing special. At all.

Interesting. Sounds like you were hanging out with the wrong crowd mostly. We have no issues getting a big group together with 9-7 second cars bi monthly around here.

I will agree with you on one thing, once you establish your car a lot of races fall off though. I had an all motor small block that I couldn't get a race with against power adder cars. It was like pulling hens teeth. The most action nowadays is in the 10 second range. Most people will checkbook race you when they are outgunned.

I always try to stay low dollar to keep it friendly. The funsies are cool with friends but, it just isn't worth the wear tear and resources to run every joe blow for free when you start getting fast. Hell for me to pull my car out was like a minimum net loss of $200.

Most of the people in this area are big LS nut huggers so when I moved down here noone knew me. So here is this random unknown guy with a coyote that on the first time at a meet drug one of the faster guys in a built/250 shot C6Z. The next week ran door with a TT viper and all while on 12psi. Once everyone heard i turned it up over 16psi, the shit talking stopped and people started disapearing. I just like racingn win or lose. I guess some people cant handle taking the L.

OP, I know how you feel. My GT makes 1100'ish and I can't take it to the strip anymore without a cage/chute, I almost never race it, whereas when I had a TVS erryone wanted to race. In all honesty, my GT is so brutally fast that it truly needs a cage, but I can't do it, not sure what to do with the car.

That was my exact same position. When my car had the Paxton on it it got action every time I took it out plus I can go to the track and race it to my heart's content. But once we built the motor and put the turbo on it it became more of a garage clean than anything and not because I wanted it to be but what's the point in bringing a car like that out when all it's going to do is sit in the parking lot and not move?

Oh yeah, I roll around town with it on wastegate/8psi and makes 700whp. I like pushing it at the strip, but at 1000+ I feel like I'm on borrowed time without a cage, and a crash at 150+ isn't going to be very forgiving.
