Need a wheel and tire

17s with some Mickey Thompsons with sidewall, and a 2 step / trans brake.

Snag up some while Lethal / American Muscle are having sales! Racestars / welds / etc

I'm confused. So you're tracking on the street setup or on the race stars? If you're on the race stars, beef up the rear a bit, put on a 2 step and let her eat

I don't know how much HP you are making or what boost you are leave the line with. I suggest replacing the lower control arms, upper control arm, springs and shocks for straight line racing. What rear gears do you have. I wouldn't go over 3.55 if you are making a ton of torque. Viking shocks are worth the money. I drive a manual so I ran a bias ply tire, if you have an auto the Mickey Thompson ET Street R would be your best bet. The lower the gears you have the taller the tire I would suggest. 3.73 i would suggest a 28''

you will need to post a time slip if possible to see what the car is doing on the whole pass.

as to the 2 step, with a stock converter you most likely will not be able to get the starting line rpms high enough for it to even activate but if you can get it to activate it wouldn't help much

How much HP and Torque? My car is a 2012 with only around 660 RWHP. I run 15 x 10s with 275/60-15s (3754, no longer made). The car is a stick and even though these are radials, and not normally used on stick cars, this combo works fine for me. I have aftermarket LCAs and nothing else. The car has a very long first gear (Tremec Magnum XL w/ an RXT clutch) and still manages 1.6 - 1.8 60's. I am guessing you have significantly more RWHP?

Tires are not everything.
Throw the BMR Rear suspension catalog at your car and let us know how well the car hooks then :)

You don't need suspension to make your car hook with an A6. I had this same problem on my Procharger setup. Basically, the car would rollout, hit boost and blow the tires off, and pedaling would cause the car to upshift.

I ultimately found that air pressure (22 psi for me on 18" MT drag radials) and a longer burnout through 2nd gear, is the difference between my car hooking and trying to put me in the wall on the 1-2 shift.

Only suspension I would do on an A6 car is LCA relo brackets.

Hope that helps.
