Great engine, but not an easy motor to swap into anything.

The bellhousing pattern is totally unique to the 3.5L/3.7L RWD V6 Cyclone engines, making trans choices very limited without making your own adapters.

Every car/truck puts it in has some very complicated Powertrain controls that are integrated into the rest of the vehicle. Up to 6 other modules are linked and must be present before the engine will start.

Ford Racing plans to sell 3.5L EcoBoost crate engines and an install kit, timing late this year or early next year, but will be for Manual Trans only applications and it will not be cheap way to get 365HP and 400ft-lbs.

Latest projected date for the 3.5L Ecoboost Controls Pak is 2nd Quarter of 2015 (manual trans only). Also at SEMA 2014 I heard that PCS will have a stand-alone 6R80 controller available in 6 months.
