Looks good man. I hope you get your issues fixed quickly!

Looks great

thanks guys!

I found resolution to the problem so it was made right...

When I started filling in holes I opted to get rid of my windshield wipers since the car hasnt seen rain since 1985, this posed the question: Do I shave the hole in the cowl where the wiper arm came through? My answer was no, I wanted to leave the factory paint on there.

When the owner of the shop came to my house to quote me we discussed the hard line where the old paint was and where the other painter shot my bay and said its not a big deal since there will be weather strip. He understood and while he was doing body work he had his guys tape along that line too.

Fast forward to seeing the pics... he repainted the cowl area... WTF!

I spoke to him and he said in order for it to be right he had to paint it due to the hard line... come to find out the guys didnt tape it in the correct spot, they taped too high and got some of the cowl with primer... He made the call to paint the cowl.

I let him know that I wished he would have called me cause I would have just told him to do the wiper arm hole shave and then shoot it all. He apologized and said that to make things right he would shave that hole for me and paint that square at no charge. So problem solved and I am now happy.

After all of that I said, now that im done playing hardball with you, I must say im blown away with the rest of the bay... it looks fantastic.

Yeah, Its the first thing I noticed too. I didn't even look at the rest to be honest. Im glad I went down there today because after working it out with the owner the job they did on the rest of the bay was truly amazing. Im now excited to get that wiper hole filled.

Thanks man!

I vote you put that motor in and take me for a ride!:burnout:

Give me time to break in the clutch and you will get a ride as soon as shes done.

It looks pretty clean. Is there a reason why you didn't shave the swaybar mounts??

I will still be running a front sway bar so I figured the stock mounting points were good. I did put in the Maximum Motorsports sway bar stiffening brackets then covered them with sheetmetal to at least make them look better than the factory eye sores that were there.

I guess in short, I am not aware of any other way to mount the front sway bar if I removed these brackets.

looks great. makes me miss my 95 that I did the same work on.

you can run SN95 mounts which would go under the frame rail. would clean up the inner frame rail, but you would still see them so it's not a drastic change

there's no better feeling than the spot you're at now, and when it's first done. but do yourself a favor and prepare for the frustration of when you scratch/chip it. it's going to happen and you should just laugh it off. I was waiting and expecting it, but was still pissed at myself when it happened. was even in a hidden area and it still drove me crazy, haha.

mike

I miss this car and I'm embarassed to open the hood on my current mustang. can't wait to tear it completely apart and shave the engine bay and hide the wiring.

I never knew that about the mounts, I don't mind the way mine came out so its all good. Yeah, I'm going to take as many precautions as possible but I'm assuming its going to happen :/.

Looks like you did a great job on the SN, id love to see your next project man.

Looks awesome Tony. Now time to put everything back together.

I will have my Dad in town next weekend so I should make great progress.

Looks crazy clean man, awesome

Thanks man, much appreciated!

Well, those of you that know me probably expected this.... I started ripping more shit apart. Debating replacing the carpet and unsure how much insulation to remove from under the carpet...

I have a lot of cleaning to do, it looks like the sand blasting media made its way into the car. Lots of wiring to do still...

Spray some lizard skin down and remove the foam from the carpet. Keeps it nice and quiet inside

Just yesterday started thinking about what I was going to do about the sound deadening and the heat... I will look into the lizard skin for sure.

Yesterday I saw some residue left over from the sand blasting so I decided to detail and clean the inside of the car. I pulled all insulation and cleaned up using soap and water and quick detailer. Next on the list is to tackle the wiring, I think I will be doing that today on this rainy day in Arizona.
