A big lol in the truck community. 6-8" of lift up front and about 2" lower than stock in back. It's called Carolina squat (among other things depending on what part of the country you are in). There was a thread a few months ago about it.

I hate those lifts, they call them Cali Lifts out here. Retarded looking....

lol. In Southern California, it serves a purpose - you need as much suspension travel in the front as possible to run through the dirt at high speeds. Baja Trophy Trucks also have that 'stance', they have close to 20" of suspension travel up front. We have alot of open desert out here, and Mexico is just a few clicks away. Trucks out here are built for speed and durability to handle desert terrain at higher speed rates.

The 'Carolina squat' or whatever it is just a trend trying to replicate what people do out in Southern California, without the knowledge behind it. It's full retard on all fronts. There isn't even open desert out in North Carolina. They should stick to NASCAR

I can understand on certain levels what you are saying. The beautiful Raptor you posted above isn't near the exaggeration of what I have seen. But I have seen these lifts on full size 2wd trucks and I can't imagine for the life of me doing any kind of sand running in 2wd but I don't know much of the sport so I could be wrong. And we got dunes in the southeast, well at least in Georgia, we just stick to our atv's out there though ;-)
