1) "A Mustang"
2) "A Cobra"
3) "A Mustang Cobra"
Lately, I have found myself saying "Cobra" to which many people who are not auto-knowledgeable reply "Who makes that?", "A What?", Etc. And those who are not Ford Fans reply "Oh, you mean a Mustang"
Just wondering what everyone else...
I have decided that my final mod for my 2003 (yea right!) will be a CAI kit (I already have the Borla Stinger Setup and a Tri-Ax). With the search function disabled I was not able come to a consensus on:
1) Overall, what the best CAI setup was
2) Which provides the greatest amount of power...
I have over 2000 miles on my 2003 and noticed today that the radiator has some dents on it from rocks, etc. These will only get worse as time presses on. What are you doing to protect these things?
Well my car hit 1,400 miles so I figured that it would be a good time to do a baseline before I add any mods. Here are the results
Pull 1 - 337.6 HP 351.1 TQ
Pull 2 - 331.6 HP 342.7 TQ
Pull 3 - 320.3 HP 335.2 TQ
Talk about fat: The A/F was at 10 by 4.5k on each pull ...
I am going to get my baseline dyno tomorrow morning and I had a question for those of you that do this on a regular basis. I was looking at a sticker under the hood and it said "Attention Dynamometer - Dyno restrictions may apply. Vehicle may have ABS and/or traction control". Is there...
I want to get a baseline dyno done this weekend before I throw on some parts that I have had for a month. Any recommendations for a shop in Dallas with a decent staff and good dynometer? I have used a place in Lewisville (Speedworks?) in the past but wanted something a little closer to downtown...
I will be at my parent's house in Plano while my mom and girlfriend go shopping and figured I would throw out this option as I will have nothing else to do. I was thinking about a 2-3pm meet. I know it is short notice but post up soon if you are up for it because I will be leaving in 30 min.
Any thoughts or opinions on when the first dyno pull should be to get an accurate stock reading? I am bone stock right now and want to remain that way until I dyno it to see what the factory HP was on my car. I am at 500 miles right now and was thinking 1k or so would be perfect.
I am probably going to go with this setup based upon the reviews and accolades on this board but I have never seen what it looks like on. Any pics out there?
I have already done some searches on prices for the Tri-ax but they all seem to be a little dated. Any new leads for me? The cheapest I have found thus far was $169 + shipping.
