Hey ya'll.. getting closer to my engine build and I'm trying to get the latest developments in the Coyote family integrated into my engine build.
Please confirm these are still true
1. Ditch the VCT
2. CJ intake still the best
3. No real head options out there yet - what is the max effort...
That is telling. A huge amount of wear fOr NA only that means mine must be smoked i have 36k miles.
Do u think its a coyote trait? Was this typical on mod motors i wonder?
exactly, you may be getting a vibration and false knock although you would have seen that in the data by now. if you take the boost way down does it still misfire at that rpm range?
you mean you had a real misfire that you could hear and see or just the P030x code? If its the code good luck. I've had one for years on my 2012 ever since I put on the boss manifold (I now have the cobra jet intake). I first tuned it with headers and stock intake there was no light. Fast...
Interesting that you are running the big tubes is it going to make more power or just for looks? Download Engine Analyser Pro you get a free trial.. put the big headers on hurts power but that's just a simulation.
Had to fix the wiring. I was on the hot wire given by the incorrect directions. Those said to use the black yellow ground (fine) and green yellow hot.. (wrong). The correct switched domelight power wire for a 2012 GT in the passenger A pillar is grey purple!! Yes, thats the correct switched...
MG0h3 and hand-filer thanks for those ideas I did try both items and getting under the car we just could not tell. So I pulled the driveshaft and wham.. destroyed CV joint at the rear interface with the bolt flange. I sent it to DSS and they took a bit of time (2+ weeks to get mine started)...
This one is not easy to diagnose. 2011 GT MT82.
1. First vibration occurred a few years ago. I had just installed some engine parts and i think a rear end gear down to 3.15. All of a sudden while cruising at 80MPH, the car started vibrating like crazy and my steering wheel was even vibrating...
BADGT, make sure you go with both fuels at some point. I use 100% E85 for four years now and its gunked up pretty good.. had to change O2 sensors already and will do now every two years for good measure.
Going back to regular fuel cleans everything back up.
E85 is going to make more power...
wow you are not kidding about the fitment against the seat belt. I am about to purchase a pair of Sparco Evo 2's and was thinking about the EVO 2 US version and that is showing an inch wider than your seat.
Question, why didn't you opt for the side brackets and no adjuster?
wont that throw off the brake balance? or is the bite the same and you just get a little more rotor?
I have to keep the small one to accommodate a 15" drag race wheel
