03 Cobra Spec 2+ vs Spec 3+ clutch

Do you have an OEM cable or aftermarket? Some aftermarket cables will do that when hot. Best to use an OEM cable and lubricate it (several videos on YouTube show how to do this). Also, watch how you route the cable to keep it as far away from the exhaust as possible. Extending the pivot ball...

    Cooling fan

One more point. It is the water in the radiator/block that cools the engine, not the antifreeze. I run more water and less coolant (70% water/30% coolant). If you think the antifreeze cools the engine better, try running a 100% antifreeze. OTOH, 100% water will work great for a while, but...

    110 or 160 amp alternator?

I'd also check for a power leak. Something could be on and drawing power while car is shut down. Interior lights and trunk light are good first candidates. Use a good meter to measure voltage at battery at shut down, then again the next morning.

    Closeout on parts for terminators

There are some good buys here. I got a few odds and ends (spare oil fill cap, etc) for cheap, even with shipping. http://www.rockauto.com/RSS/vehiclefeeds.php?carcode=1410578&m=wc&l=en&html=true

    clutch adjustment

I always start by adjusting at firewall until there is about ½" of free movement at the top of the pedal. I use my hand on the pedal and push it in until I feel resistance. Then in the driver's seat, I work the clutch, put it in gear and see where it grabs. Fine tune the adjustment until I like...

Unable to remove bolt from eaton pulley

If you do wrench the head off of the bolt, here's my tip for removal. If you have a broken tap, put it pos a drill, then when spinning, put it on the side of a grinding wheel and sharpen the stub to a point. Keep water nearby to keep quenching the tap so you don't lose it's temper. If you don't...

Unable to remove bolt from eaton pulley

Put a pencil torch on the bolt head. Then put a wrench on it. It may have lock-tite red. That REQUIRES heat to remove.

    Fuel mileage

Mine gets 15mpg average. So to make up for it, I bought my wife a 2015 Fusion Hybrid (ave since new is 41.1mpg). So on average, I'm not too bad.

    Blank Bucktag

When new, my car had a {tink}{tink}{tink} sound as I slowly drove down the road. When I found and removed that tag, the {think} went away. Years ago, someone from Ford chimed in about the tag, but I'm old, and don't remember so good. CRS.

    Removing Old Bumper Letter Inserts

It is safe on paint, but it will remove any wax. You can also spray WD-40 for removing the adhesive, and it is also safe on paint. A Bodyshop man told me about that one for vinyl letters (like the car dealership ad.

Ford Trunk Spring With Rubber Bumper 1999-2004

I just replaced some springs in my trunk lid and thought I would post a few helpful tips. Here is the new spring in place on the underside of the trunk lid: I bought the springs at CJ Pony Parts. 2 springs cost me $37.96 to my door...
