Fumoto is a lifesaver. First time I changed the oil on my 2012 Lariat 4x4 the oil shot out like a firehose. Fumoto got installed on the next oil change and now it’s easy.

Here’s the thing. Those tires at that age are dangerously oxidized and potentially dry-rotted. I learned this the hard way in a lifted F-350 many years ago.

Unfortunately that post is a couple years old, and the state seems to have tightened the thumbscrews since then. Paying a fine wasn’t an option for me, and even if it was this time my bet is it won’t be next...
That was my plan B. My family lives up in Del Norte county, so if I couldn’t get past the smog I was just going to wait a bit then register at her address, until the smog nazi’s invade up there anyway.

Wait. What? Where is this happening and what agencies are involved? Commercial vehicles have always been subjected to safety inspections, but passenger vehicles haven’t.
