    3.5 Eco-boost in a 2018ish F-150

I previously had a 17 and while it never left me stranded it had its fair share of issues: - Stock Thermostat was sticking and truck was seeing 240 cruising. Ford said normal ops so I swapped in the stock thermostat from my 13 GT and temps stayed in the 190s after that. -Accessory Protocol...

    Time For An Investment Manager?

Roughly 10 years ago I decided to hire an investment manager based on multiple co-workers recommendations. I ended up moving all of my money with the exception of my TSP over and was charged a front load fee of roughly 2%. Also, all the future money I invested was subjected to the front load...

    Moving To Tyler, Texas

When we were stationed at Barksdale AFB, LA we took our daughter there to race motocross. The motocross track is called Swan and we loved it so much Tyler is on our short list of places to buy land and build once we retire. As for the car scene, I dont think there is much, but Tyler is a nice...

    Roush tvs blower issues

If you are experiencing belt slip issues with a 79mm pulley either your belt is way to long or your tensioner needs replacing. You should be able to run as small as a 72mm on the 6 rib without experiencing belt slip.

    Fuel prices near you

Yesterday when we filled the wifes car up 87 was 3.79 and Diesel was 4.89. I filled my truck up on Thursday and Diesel was 4.19, crazy how fast the prices are rising.

    Used Vehicle Insights

When you say trading do you mean trading into a dealer and private party sales? Can you explain how paying cash is not the best option when purchasing a new vehicle? I picked up a new truck 4 months ago and managed to get a little over 7k off MSRP (dealer ordered). I ended up selling my old...

    Current New Vehicle Market

I agree. When you look online none of the dealers have any inventory, especially HD trucks. However, once the newly designed Sierras hit the ground they will make up for it. Sent from my Moto Z (2) using Tapatalk

    Current New Vehicle Market

@13COBRA , are you dealing on ordered vehicles? I was able to get a little $7k off MSRP on a ordered 22 RAM 2500. The local dealer would not budge off MSRP for on the lot vehicles but for orders they would go below invoice. Curious if brands other than RAM are doing the same? In Ohio the Ford...

    Advice for purchasing Toy Hauler

Which models are you looking at? The ones I have been looking at are made by Grand Design and they all have at least one bump out. However, you can still easily walk throughout the hauler even when its not extended.

Anyone else noticing a motor oil shortage?

I have noticed a shortage especially in the diesel engine categories. I have had good luck at Lowes and Home Depot finding it. Walmart and the auto parts stores seem to rarely have it on the shelves. Same thing can be said about DEF. I had to drive to 3 different stores to find a Motorcraft...

    Advice for purchasing Toy Hauler

Thanks for your help everyone, I have the truck now just waiting for the upcoming RV show. It came in a couple of weeks ago and we are very happy with our decision to purchase it. Absolutely love the truck so far, for a HD it rides surprisingly smooth and its definitely a step up from my 17...

    To Delete or Not (Diesel)

This is exactly what I planned to do if I moved forward with this idea. From the sounds of it the majority of people on here are leaving emissions equipment in tact and very few have reported any issues. Keep the real world feedback coming! Sent from my Moto Z (2) using Tapatalk

    To Delete or Not (Diesel)

Those are great points and I agree completely about the trucks driven more are less prone to problems. That's another area I have concern with, this will be my daily driver. During the week while I'm teleworking I rarely drive and when I do it's only short local trips. On the weekends we...
