Pulled off the factory fogs and installed a set of LED housings and adapter brackets.
Nice to have fogs that match the look and performance of my projector retrofit. Looks totally OEM from the front too.
Parked in its new spot in my garage. Have a long list of things to do before summer - front to back maintenance and a few upgrades to the suspension and brakes to get it driving better than new again.
Had an RXT in my old redfire car. Install is everything on them. That clutch held 800hp without any issues and was just as quite as stock with a lighter pedal.
The days of loud twin disks are gone... I believe the RXT has a more forgiving composition (clutch slip, bad launch, etc.) and can take...
+1 to what everyone has said above.
Also budget some money to have PPF applied over the lenses. That will keep the plastic/clear on the aftermarket lenses (usually a lower quality) looking new.
Scott and Joe ran Mile Hi Dyno. Did the original mods to my 2003 Redfire (pulley, tune, etc.) basically 20 years ago... Was a fun time back then! I remember riding in that car when it was making 700 or so and thinking it was the fastest thing on the planet (that was off nitrous too) - how times...
Reach out to ISON Hyrdographics in Arvada Colorado. They did my interior pieces on my 03 in a matte carbon, including that same gauge pod. Had them do intake tubes and manifold covers on my GT-R as well.
Their process is great, its very realistic looking (not like a 90s dash kit like a lot of...
Anxiously awaiting! This is one of the only threads I follow. Bought a nice low mileage 2005 mystichrome and will be copying a lot of the things you’ve done with yours!
Dont forget tires, probably more important than most of the other items.
Several options for coilovers that you dont have to do all the other stuff with that will get you 80+% of the same benefit. MM is a good choice though.
Also, dont think you need coilovers for good handling, a good shock...
Congrats on the new purchase! My suggestion would be to get it to a dyno in your area and check the tune and make sure its safe before beating on it too much. Either chose a shop that is capable/qualified tuning the cobra or book an appointment with a qualified remote tuner.
Cars are getting...
Paint it... but only do it for your enjoyment and not any other reason. Your car is not going to be worth less because of it. Especially if its well documented, done well and by a competent shop.
I would argue you are better off doing it now than waiting before a sale too. When purchasing I'd...
Unfortunately I "purchased" parts/labor a couple days before this thread started. Recovering my money wasn't an option at that point and it became more and more obvious what a scumbag heis.
Is there a reason no one has moved on to small claims court or anything with him?
The rules for MA seem...
A set of calipers and some other misc. stuff that has never shown up. Excuse after excuse and still nothing.
None of his “custom” stuff like headlights or those caliper brackets thankfully.
Unfortunately the police department in his area isn’t much help either.
