By looking at the intake gaskets for both heads it seems possible. Looks like the I could mill out the space between the ports on the b head to make it match the c port. Would be a lot of work, which is fine. I’m just trying to find some exact dimensions before I try to buy a $800 lower intake.
Probably a stretch. But does anyone happen to have the measurements of the factory lower manifold? maybe even a cad file or something? I'm wanting to see how I could modify one to fit a b head motor. I'm hoping to use this manifold to do two things at once.
I plan on removing my crank damper, and starting the car to see if it makes any difference. But it'll be a couple more days, had hand surgery. I haven't checked that but I don't think that could be the issue. Because it happens while it isn't moving.
Dang. That sucks. I put new plugs in mine. And it made no difference. I don’t get any audible noises, even during the vibration. I think I may try to remove the belt, crank pulley and dampner. And start it back up. See if that has any effect on it. Maybe it’ll get better or worse. I’m out of...
I just got back from ponies in the smokies, I'm going to get the car back off the ground and check again. But I checked everything for clearance and fitment issues multiple times already. I haven't found anything rubbing or touching up to this point.
It's definitely solid lol. But I've used this setup before and not noticed this issue. And I know, you will pick up nvh from solid or poly mounts. But I've not seen it cause a nvh issue that is so specific to 300 rpm. I'm wondering if i may have an issue with the crank damper.
The plate attaches to the motor mount location on the block, and it has a bracket that matches the eyelet location on the k member the poly bushings are on both side of the eyelet. A 1/2 grade 8 clamps the bracket through the eyelet center hole.
So I have solid motor mount plates and poly eyelet bushings that connect the plate to the k member. AJE brand. I've crawled around under it and can't find anything touching where it shouldn't be. I did pull the plug wires one at time while running, each of them made a noticeable difference when...
Changed to solid/poly mounts. I’ve used same k member on other cars. And I know you can/will pick up some vibration or harmonics from poly or solid mounts. But I’ve never had it cause this kinda vibration. And the car had none. Even with factory mounts that where worn.
