2012 SVT. This clutch was a Exedy Mach 600 (I believe) in the car when I bought it as the second owner. I've put 60K miles on it myself, the last 3K included steep mountain roads (many dirt roads) when I started noticing it was very hard to find gears: First, second and reverse was almost...
No, I'm only curious about what our engines did when we hit that limit, and why. I guess I need to be extra aware of the RPM during pulls, that's all. Thanks!
Thanks for the info, guys. This seems like (to my ignorant mind) a bad way to protect the engine; is there any reason it was implemented this way? As opposed to what seems the "normal" way, where the car's computer limits throttle?
2012 SVT...
When I do a hard pull, if I hit the rev limiter, instead of stopping at 6K and holding, it seems like the engine loses power..I can feel the car hesitating and almost cutting out. This does not seem normal to me, as I'd expect to hit the set limit and stay there as long as I was on...
Thanks! These were $20 at Amazon, and are solid steel (as opposed to the capped stock nuts). I believe they are the same as on CJ's or AM. I do like the look.
2012 GT500 SVT: While cleaning and rotating the wheels, I noticed the original nuts were showing signs of deformation around the points (due to impact wrench usage?) So I bought a new set of 20 that were listed as fitting a GT500, but they are 19mm (3/4") instead of stock 21mm (13/16"). Threaded...
Def a gash, the metal is exposed and was gouged. It will need to be sanded, at least. From what I can tell, the rock departed the road from a semi-trailer wheel, sideways (It was passing me at the time) and hit my door.
I have a rock-impact hit on my drivers door, it left a 1" gash in the sheet metal (dent also). The first quote I received was typical bondo and paint fix. What other options (2012 Black SVT) should I push for? The sheet metal itself is scratched, deep. There is a dent, as well.
Thanks in advance.
