Does your housing look like this? I have a '97 and the oil rains down from what looks like the adaptor gasket. a peice of gasket actually broke off when i applied very little pressure. I'm waiting on gasket part , but was wondering how to get at that bolt. All other videos I've watched showed a...
Could not get that cap on the crossover tube to budge. I was going to fill each hose as much as possible before re-connecting, then fill from reservoir. That cap, i was going to leave off when starting.
Happy New Year...I finally caught a break in kids athletic schedule and will be putting everything back together next weekend. You said you've done this before and was was wondering if there's anything that I should be aware of when re-starting car? I plan on leaving antifreeze cap off so...
Awesome...thanks for pic! Is the can secured to the wall? looks like a few sheet metal screws. was that your doing or did it come with mounting bracket?
Is there a write-up on the oil catch can? And I may go your route with new gaskets...just found set for $40. Also, did you replace o-rings on injectors while you were performing this cleaning process? Seems like a good time to do.
was talking with mwolson on different thread and suggested I contact you about purchasing a refurbished IMRC actuator w/cables. My '97 threw the stuck IMRC code and as I was in process of cleaning, realized my right cable was snapped. I still have the part as pictured. Thanks,
the sheath was intact, cable inside sheath was broken. So everything looked good as I detached actuator, but then cable completely slipped out of sheathing. Then realized 4 inch section of cable was still attached to Actuator motor where it snapped.
My '97 threw the stuck IMRC code and as I was in process of cleaning, realized my right cable was snapped. I've been looking to buy the IMRC controller box w/cables. MWolson suggested to contact you. I have a 1997 Mustang Cobra SVT. Thanks,
Thanks, I will contact Racebronco2 about purchasing an IMRC controller. It's probably the quickest way for me to get my ride back on the road and out of my Father-in-law's garage! Unfortunately for me, it was the cable that broke, and that break was close to the controller box.
