I'm not the "original" owner of my 1999 Lightning, however it's been with me since July 13, 2001. It's now in need to a transmission rebuild and a paint job. I've purchased a few more mods and upgrades this past year or so that I have yet to install. I'll do it in due time, or not. LOL.
I have a 1999 Lightning 211,000+ miles on it, in need of a paint job and a transmission rebuild. I'll let it go for $60.000. These trucks are worth whatever someone is willing to pay, or how much the owner is willing to let it go for. Don't see Lightnings on the road much anymore. Good luck in...
I'm going to stick with the stock tire size for the front stock wheels. I found conflicting info concerning the 235/45/18 tires. I'll err on the side of caution.
Will 235/45/18 tires fit the stock Lightning wheels? I've come across a set of tires in this size that are reasonably priced, and am wondering if they could be mounted on the front wheels without any issues.
I got home today, pulled into my driveway and put the truck into park...when I turned the key to the off position the engine continued to run. I turned the key to the off position a couple more times with the same results. I ended up disconnecting the electrical connector that goes to the fuel...
I'm in need of a set of shock absorbers for the Lightning. Lowered 1.5" front/2.0" rear. Will the stock Bilsteins for the 01+ Lightnings work with the drop that's on my truck? My truck is a daily driver. So, I doubt that I need any of the adjustable shocks. Brands and part numbers would help...
Can someone tell me where the resistor for the fuel pumps is located? Is it somewhere behind the front bumper or is it located somewhere behind the intercooler pump? I've heard of both locations, just want to get the correct info before I get under the truck tomorrow morning. It's just too hot...
My air conditioner is still blowing nice cold air, however, it only blows the air through the defrost and floor vents. I took a look at the backside of the A/C control unit yesterday and all of the vacuum lines and wires are plugged in.
Could I have a bad switch on the control unit? And if...
Well, I've just landed a new job starting at $41,000+ per year. That'll be on top of my Marine Corps "retirement" check. The Money Tree just grew like a MoFo.
I've already found an old Honda that I'm buying next month for a DD/beater. Anyway, I'll be parking the Lightning except for the...
I ran into a fellow L owner this weekend that's searching for a set of chrome replicas for his '01 Lightning.
Do any of you have info on which vendors or companies carry the chrome replicas, and wether or not they're still being produced?
Thanks
Kev.
