I do have a clock radio in the bedroom still. It's one of the old-school ones. It has the correct time but I haven't set an alarm on it in years. I've since moved to an Amazon Echo Spot for an alarm... Everything in our house is voice controlled now either by an Amazon or Google product.

Get it done and get it behind you. It sounds like this is something you have been pursuing and want to complete. It will feel great when it is done. I just finished an MBA in Michigan. There were times where it was painful, but I'm glad I pursued the degree. I "digitally walk" on Friday next week.

I use Samsung Smart Things / Philips Hue / Apple TV / Homekit. The Samsung Smart Things provides the security. The Hue provides great light control. Home Depot has the Hue White bulbs on sale for ~$10.
