Well, I think I found out "why" these feel like this. I don't recall seeing this when I purchased these a few years ago. These state they do NOT lower your vehicle. So, even though my car isn't by any means super low, that's why the struts are stretched.
What a bummer, really don't feel...
That's the thing though, I know it's not a lot of travel, but my car is not slammed. If I crank them up it's going to throw the rest of the suspension off since it will be higher, but I get what you mean.
I'm curious what others have for travel and what brand shocks?
This is with the car jacked up on the diff. This is what I was saying before when it seems like there just isn't enough travel on the shocks bodies themselves, therefore the bottoming out I feel going over hard bumps.
Is this normal?? What do your shock bodies look like?
They were already on the car, so not sure when exactly they were put on. They look alright though? Definitely aftermarket. Any way to check if they're shot short of removing them?
If I hit a bump at speed, the rear feels like it's going through the earth lol. Sitting though and looking, it doesn't seem to be sitting on the stops. It's setup to cruise.
It had qa1 fronts that were leaking and I changed everything brand new to Strange. The rears seemed full stretched sitting so I put Lakewoods because they were a bit longer.
I'm curious what are most of you guys are running for suspension, stock or coils? I put Strange coils in the rear to match my front, the rear springs are 10" 150lbs. I will say, the ride has been horrendous since switching to coils from the stock style.
My car is not super low or slammed...
