Does the ring and pinion from a solid 8.8" Mustang GT rear end fit the IRS Cobra differential? I found an inexpensive 3.73 set and wanted to swap it into my 2001...
That was a good call- I should have listened ;-( Unfortunately the rubber seal that the pump nozzle fits in was torn so the pressure was leaking through the fitting and I was not getting the pressure in the fuel rails. That rubber seal is not available separately AFAIK . I found a great deal on...
The non cooler adapter on the way...
In the mean time... I removed the oil cooler and adapter, cleaned and started resealing since the orings came in. First I needed to use my three ton press to remove the cooler from the housing, it was completely corroded in-whole nine yards including lime...
You're right we did not expect the tenants to get so antsy so quickly. For me it was just convenience- it is easier to work on it during the day as my work is close to my friends industrial park location. Had I known the blowback I would probably do it at home....
It was the thrill of living the past fixing my car under bridges when it rained more than anything else. Most people will not get it, granted. This is my version of roadkill, so it it Freiburgers, after all these years i have at least few allies .....

I have just looked it up: apparently the coolant heats up a lot quicker than oil so warming up the oil with the coolant initially should work- good catch there. I will consider the delete now. Thank you
That's good to know thank you. But honestly the oil warmer theory does not add up for me. It takes longer in the cold climates for the coolant to warm up so how could it warm up the oil faster? Also the oil temperature exceeds the coolant temperature by quite a bit hence the cooling effect...
Hello, the back story:
I bought this can non running after 7 year hibernation. Not much information about it. I did the leak down test before purchase and all cylinders checked out fine. After finishing the necessary assembly and repairs that you can read about in my other threads i fired it...
Cautionary tale: after watching multiple youtubers replace the fuel pump piece in the assembly i ordered one for $11 from rockauto and dropped the tank, removed the assembly. First thing i found was the corrugated internal fuel tube had a hole in it that caused pressure loss. I found and ordered...
