Yes, I had a 2007 GT500 with a Whipple. The car was great, especially in a straightline. Very nose heavy and clumsy around corners though. It had a certain "character" that a regular GT could never match, sort of cool driving a "Shelby". Outside of that though, the Boss is the better car by far. My Boss is as quick through the 1/8 mile as my pulley/tune GT500 was with 4.10's. The Boss only has a 3" off road pipe and AED tune with Steeda CAI. The Boss is also an excellent road course car, no heat soak, and tons of grip.
I highly recommend it over an iron block GT500, although I've never driven a 2010 and up Shelby.
