Just to play devil's advocate... I recently got my lightning and installed the Hotchkis stage 2 TVS System. The ride is rough over bumps and potholes, but it handles amazingly otherwise. Driving down my street is a nightmare because you will feel every single bump in the road and cringe if...
A buddy of mine has a set of headers from either American racing or cannon that he has left over from parting out a totaled lightning. Id need the rest of the exhaust, but it should come out to less than what a full 2.5" would cost if I got it new...
My problem right now is that I want to...
Would a 3" Full exhaust be that bad on a stock 00 lightning? I'm currently looking for an exhaust at the moment, but I can get a full 3" exhaust with long tubes for a similar or cheaper price than the 2.5" exhausts online...
I know that the stock exhaust is fine for the lifetime of the stock...
So my intercooler has a small leak in it (surprise surprise, 140,000 miles on the stock intercooler).
What's the best route for replacing the intercooler? Unfortunately my truck did not have the recall performed on it. From my POV, I'd either need an aftermarket replacement for the 2000 intake...
I thought the air is supposed to be pushed through the driver valve cover... I definitely messed up somewhere. Guess they're going to have to get returned and time for another hot tanking for my intercooler...
I should have listened to you the first 5 times I read about this, but I was being skeptical and stupid.
Is there any way to fix this? (1 way PCV valve?) This seems like a very weird problem to have, and especially with the amount of oil they suck.
I've looked into the PCV system and fixes for lightnings for while now, and I'll admit it, I'm probably stupid and am missing something obvious...
Sorry in advance as i know the PCV system has been talked about dozens of times and I'm beating a dead horse here, but I'm just really frustrated...
I have some pretty bad rust on my cab and need to replace the rocker panel and at least one of the supports underneath (pictures attached)... Does anyone sell replacement floor supports or would I need to make something myself or cut one off of another truck?
Yeah, unfortunately i figured this out as soon as my engine was back together... If I'm understanding it correctly, It gets sandwiched between the block and supercharger cage/bracket?
So I finally got my truck back together after tearing it apart and putting remanufactured cylinder heads on it... The truck seems to have some hesitstion/studder when accelerating and burns oil on startup & higher rpms (blue-ish smoke). I'd guess valve seals are bad, but the heads were just...
So I'm getting close to having my engine back together, but I'm having trouble figuring out where these brackets go... I believe these were on the back of the passenger cylinder head and were mainly there to help organize the wiring harness? Can anyone confirm this or does anyone have a pic of...
