Hi Everyone,
Update. The light still stays on all the time now. Car was on the dyno yesterday with datalogging. Tuner is happy, car is healthy. Still no real answers for the 6250 to 7000 light. No codes or CEL.
Here is an interesting side note related to the blower rebuild. The blower...
Thanks BJ. I have a dyno session scheduled with the tuner for right after the first of the year. Hopefully this will provide some answers and a clean bill of health :).
Thanks Vinnie! Great info. I will be relieved once I can find out what's causing this strange behavior. The Whipple came off, went out for repair, and was reinstalled. Thinking it's related to these changes and something with the reinstall.
Thanks,
Chris
Thanks again. Going to check all of these things over the weekend when I can get the car up onto the ramps.
I had one occurrence of this before the Whipple rebuild, but it was a while back (6 months) and there was a code for the O2 sensor at the time. Cleared the code and didn't have any...
Thanks for the reply.
I'm pretty sure there are extensions for the front sensors. I will have to get under the car to see for sure.
And I do have a 170 deg thermostat installed with updated tune for fan on/off.
Will also check the IAT2 sensor. The Whipple was just serviced with a...
Hi All,
Would like to see if anyone with a 13/14 has encountered this issue, and if there is a good long-term fix.
My car will warm up to operating temp, and then the 6250 to 7000 RPM light will turn off. Normal. Then when driving around, the light will come back on, and sometimes turn on/off...
Thanks for the info. All good things to consider. After my IC pump update I'm pretty sure I'll still want to milk some more flow out of my system. So, the IC brick will be the last item on the list. Hopefully enough time will pass for some decent data points to surface about the VMP...
I'm doing my updates in phases now. I installed my DOB Titanic heat exchanger about 2 months back. Next on the list is an IC pump upgrade. Then the IC brick if needed. Each iteration I'm looking at IAT2 impact and other data points. With my Titanic HE install, I have a fluid temperature...
Sorry to bump an older thread. For your setup, do you know what kind of flow you're getting through the entire system? I'm about to embark on some similar mods and will be curious what you achieved. Your setup looks awesome and love the attention to detail about avoiding sharp bends...
I live in Texas...for my last inspection @ Jiffy Lube it didn't seem to be an issue. But the guys doing the inspection were drooling over the car so maybe they overlooked it.
I have the 2013 GT500 with the track pack option, and I'm looking for a good location to mount an aftermarket intercooler pump. Some of the normal spots are occupied by additional coolers. In my car, the windshield wiper fluid does not squirt at all. Probably related to the aftermarket hood...
Will be very interested to see how things go for you. I'm not sure when I'll do my changes. Maybe in phases based on $$$ and how much I'll do on my own. Pricing all of the parts gets a little crazy when you look at everything together. Yikes.
I'm running E85 with a Fore dual pump fuel system. Car is pushing 24# of boost.
My goal is to increase flow/capacity into the IC/HE system with some flexibility to intervene with ice as needed. After reading everyone else's experiences and what has worked, this seems like the best path to...
Thanks for the reply and validation of the VMP solution. A while back, I read through your thread about the J2Fab experience and it made me reconsider my original direction. I'm thinking of the VMP IC with the larger openings and the 1 inch water manifold, a half-moon tank in the trunk...
