    What year model did Ford switch to the rubber firewall insulation/sound deadening???

    Noticed the firewall insulation on my '04 GT was rubber as opposed to the crappy tar insulation/deadening in my '03 Cobra. Was going to swap them while my dash gets torn apart in the GT to remove my evaporator for weight mods. When did Ford switch to the better rubber mats? Just the '04 models?

    so why didnt Ford go with double wishbones? better suspension geometry

    just wondering. the cobra seems like it would handle even better with double wishbones up front
