If my front seats didn´t have the same color combo, I would agree. But fronts with grey and rear seat without triggers my OCD reflex :) The rear seat was "free" so If I can´t make it look good, I´ll roll back the process and learn to live with the different color tone.
OK, so the sun is shining and my fingers are itching so I awake the beast (well) from it´s winter sleep and pull the seats from the car so I can compare them to the S197 ones.
I knew the S197 rear seat was wider but was surprised to see it was actually 6" wider as shown in the pictures below...
I think you will have fitment/poke issues with that width and that offset. I´d go no more than 275 in the rear and 265 in the front. The brakes won´t be an issue but because of the poke of the wheel, there´s a chance that you´ll rub the fender going over bumps and such.
I would install one of...
Picked up the seats this morning and it´s clearly going to be a challenge. For starters, the seat rest is two pieces whereas the SN95´s is a one piece. Just a quick reflection.
Check out willtheyfit.com Their calculator will tell you how much poke you get with lower ET´s compared to what you´re running now. I don´t think you will have a problem with +22 ET but better be safe than sorry :)

If no one has done it, it will definitely be a case of trial and horror o_O I´ll update this thread as the work progresses. It´ll be a while though since my car is in storage and probably won´t see daylight for another couple of weeks.
Fellas,
I know the question has been asked before but havent found a definitive answer. Is it possible to install the S197 rear seat in an SN95? I picked up a complete set front and rear seats for 400$ and was ony planning on replacing the fronts but since I got the rear as well, why not give...
Great answer. Thanks. It´s a summer cruiser only so salt isn´t an issue. I´ll check out the exhaust thread as well. Any thoughts on power gains or is it same same?
Fellas,
I wanna swap out my standard H-pipe for a X-pipe with cats but I have no idea if I need a short or a long midpipe. It´s probably a short I need but want to ask the pros before I order. Car is fitted with stock headers and a SLP LM2.
Short:
BBK-1538
Long:
BBK-1670
What can I expect...
Hi all,
I want to upgrade to a quickshift for my Cobra but since there is a bunch of them, I´d like get som IRL input. Just to narrow it down, I´d like a quickshift that doesn´t require muscles like Mr. Olympia to shift gear :) and doesn´t make any noise when in gear. I don´t know if it´s true...
