hey man, i can tell you a lot about that car, and share some pics with you lol. i know the first owner, the second owner, third owner (me), and the guy you bought it from (dont know him personally, but talked to him on here a time or two). i can tell you that the car was near totaled out with the first owner. it was t-boned on the passenger side. (i may even have a pic of it). the first owner had it fixed and other then a few squeaks, it was a pretty solid car. The guy then blew the motor up in the car, and sold it as a roller to my good friend. I attempted to buy it as a roller from him but my buddy wanted to build it.

Anyway, the motor was built by two of my friends and all the machine work was done by southland perfermance in houma, la. everything was done right so no worries on that end. My buddy had it a few months after putting it back on the road then snapped the tail shaft housing of the ole t3650, he had it welded back up, and went on about his business. well, it leaked lol, and he didnt know it, on his way to mississippi one day the trans froze up and got stuck in gear. he had it towed home, thought the trans was f'd, so i was able to make a trade with him on it.

i traded my fox for it, trailered it home. Pulled the plug to drain the fluid out of it so i could pull it out and see what the problem was (we thought the internals were f'd), but to my surprise, it had no trans fluid lol.. i went to autozone. bought some fluid, came home and filled it up... and on the road it went haha. i found out it was leaking, so i bought a new tailshaft housing and put that on. so your good to go now (assuming its still a 5 speed).

other then that, i replaced the hood, and a few odds and ends, and gave the car to my wife (i already had a cobra, no need for it. and she liked it more then me.) so the whole time i had the car, i drove it maybe 3 times, other then that it was my wifes daily. anyway, we kept it for a litte while, then i traded back for my fox, and my buddy sold it to the guy you bought it from. from what i understand, the guy you bought it from did a lot of work with it. (like paint work that it needed so badly). im not sure if he changed anything under the hood, but if you send me a pic of what it looks like now, i can tell you.
