    Oil Leak Question?

Same thing happened to me years ago. I took the filter off, unscrewed the pipe/stud and went to Ford for some orings. They have kits there. Got 2 of the proper size it it back together. Some extra oil and all was well. FWIW, mine was just loose, but I put new orings on it anyway...

    1996 cobra swap

Hmmmm...Cobras were never autos. There is no neutral safety switch on a 5 speed. There is a clutch switch. Car won't crank unless clutch is depressed. If it cranks and wont fire, I don't think that is PATS. But not sure.

    Front Control Arms

My apologies for making a blanket statement about age. Bad assumption and incorrect. I am only 53, so you guys get the age card on me. My incorrect assumption was that no one in our age bracket gives a crap about these cars (SN-95) and everyone who owns one must be a broke kid. That is what...

    Front Control Arms

I didn't say you cannot do them on jackstand, just that you must have to be a glutton for punishment to do so. Much easier on a lift in my own garage. You guys are also (betting) 30+ years younger than me... Ball joints on a press are easy. Just borrow the tool from O'Reilly (or wherever)...

    Front Control Arms

I am just doing this now on mine. Removed control arms and pressed ball joints but using the parts from a couple different O'Reilly's ball joint tool kits and my hydraulic press. Burned up the small bushings, pried out the larger "hydro" bushings. Installed Prothane bushings and new Ford ball...

    Timing issues??

You can't really judge timing without looking at the calibration. And on a stock box, there are lots of variables that will adjust the main timing table. If you don't have a chip, don't worry about timing. Nothing you can do about it. Keep tracking down the errors and vacuum leaks. FYI, it...

    Rear control arms needed

I have MM adjustable lowers and love them. As others said, leave the uppers alone, or just new rubber bushings. We don't want to be reading about you wrecking your car after using spherical upper bushings and getting snap, oversteer. A torque arm and panhard bar are nice if you have the $.

    Turbo or supercharger?

    Supercharger for stock 96 cobra

Not a daily driver, but it could be. Currently 465rwhp (Mustang dyno) on 11psi. Timing and AFR arekey. Too much and you get detonation and "poof" with stock internals. I sourced everything for my set up individually. Found a great buy on a junk blower, but had a lot of parts like brackets...

    96 cobra Changed from 5w30 to 10w30

I was using full synthetic and was using oil and it was burning it. Switched back to the recommended weight of Motorcraft semi syn, and stopped chewing oil and puffing blue smoke. At 143k miles, I would try switching back to Motorcraft.

Anyone know where to buy oil cooler o rings?

I went to Ford for the internal o rings. Parts guy opened up a big o ring box and matched up size. Think they were for a Powerstroke. Less than $5.

    Lightning injectors?

Don't mess with 42 pound. Depending on boost level, you could be bumping up against duty limit. Get 60s

    Lightning injectors?

Why do you need different injectors?

Kenne Bell - Stock 97 Cobra

FWIW, I debated this when I went FI on my '96. If I remember correctly the Kenne Belle kit is NLA for our cars, because the throttle cable is NLA from Ford. You can still do it, of course, but need to find the correct throttle cable from a junker. The meth business did not interest me, and I...
