In my case (an 04 with ~80k miles), They started to fail intermittently. They would go out for a day or two, and then start working again. This went on for a few months, until they were 100% 'Tango Uniform'.
That was annoying, because I had no idea it was an "inverter issue". I...
Just reading this thread, having been away from SVTP for a few years. Nice to see the solid analysis and shared knowledge here.
FWIW, my Speedhut "fix" is still working find, having been installed well over 10 yrs ago.
You can probably just move the inverter from the new cluster over to your original. I just bumped my old thread on repairing the failed inverters using the Speedhut inverter. It should take just a minute to remove the back cover and swap over the inverters.
Just checking in on this topic. Our cars are all hitting ~20 yrs old now. I am very curious if anyone has recently soured a Speedhut inverter? From what I can tell, Speedhut has moved away from the "indeglow" guages for their aftermarket/hotrod gauges.

A friend is having a starter issue with a 2015 V6 Mustang. (3.5L ?).
Intermittent issue, typically when cold starting in the AM.
..Car will Start normally, but starter keeps trying to engage, making pretty bad noise.
I have not yet witnessed the issue first hand since it seems to happen...
I have about 19k miles on my 2016 F150 Ecoboost. I was reading about the benefits of adding an oil separator / catch can.
Please provide any feedback on good or bad options for this.
*I assume this will not void any warrantees... Right?
Anyone heard from Jamie or 'Start n charge' lately? I was supposed to send him back an alternator to repair before I moved back to FL and he does not seem to be responding to PMs or the email I have for him.
