My 14 GT cap is different than my 14 Shelby. The GT only takes about 1/4 to 1/2 turn but the Shelby is threaded and takes a full turn or two to screw in. I don't know what others have.

Its a 10 wide. On these I run Hoosier 28" x 10 drag.

No mods and I still have the stock brakes. Just need the right offset/backspace on wheels. Before I got the dark stars, I had an old pair of 95 cobra R's 17x9 and tried them. They cleared the brakes too. Can't balance them with tape weights though as that will hit the brakes.

I have 17s on the back (stock brakes) on Race Star Dark Stars.

When I installed my line lock, I had my car jacked up like that a half inch. The AdvancTrac freaked out too. Once I set the car down and drove it, it cleared up. I recently had a Strange 9" installed with the stock brakes. However, their brake bracket was not aligned exactly like stock...

J, did you have a 1350 yoke on the front of you Strange 9"? Talking with PST, they are saying they cannot get the proper CV joint to build that end of the driveshaft. Is there any info you can pass along to me so I can help PST make a DS? Thanks.

I went with Strange. The cost really depends on what you choose, which mfg and options. It could be 3500-4500, maybe more, maybe less. All depends on your preferences. Keep in mind since the center section uses a 1350 yoke, the stock CF driveshaft will not mate up. That could run up to 1500...

My stock 8.8 is getting replaced. Goodbye 3.31's, hello 4.11s. Strange did a really nice job on the powder coating and its got an S-trac. I'm probably gonna get a PST CF driveshaft and while its waiting for that, it's getting a McLeod 1200HD. It may be a week or so before I get into the...

Finally, I was able to run some 10's. This was from last summer. I hadn't gotten around to posting. I had belt slip with the 2.4 and 10%, even with the thump. I added a BPS aux idler and problem solved. CAI, TB, HD, T, RS, DR, RG, UP (2.4), LP (10%)

BiminiLX, Seems like you may have gotten the last of the Cobra Jet options. I talked with Strange today and they don't sell those anymore. Lucky you!

Why did you choose the Cobra Jet housing instead of the 05-14 housing Strange offers? I started looking at Strange options this week. Lots of options to choose from.
