    2014 Shelby GT500 - Connecting rods

JDM sent my 5.8 shortblock to Lidio and they assembled the rest. Alternative auto can do it but I don’t think you need that upgrade yet. -J

    Current New Vehicle Market

Been meaning to drive one. Those packages probably take 2yrs to launch anyway but it would be interesting to see what Ford Performance is working on these days in regards to EV. -J

    Broken Drive Shaft

I prefer the CF shaft but a quality aluminum is fine especially if you’re not going for 200+ -J

Thinking of buying a ‘21 GT500. Have a couple questions

Yes ‘22 only model. I’m seriously thinking of having the dealer throw the Whipple on at the same time. Gen 6 Whipple 3.8 sounds like a solid plan :) -J

    Broken Drive Shaft

CF should be the best choice but they fracture with implant. It likely was hit my something. Has the shaft ever been out of the car? -J

Also you have until the original warranty ends to add the extended so you don’t have to do it now. -J

Tire questions for my 2013 Shelby GT500. I'm currently running Nitto NT555 G2s with 285/35ZR20s in the back. Have the 265s up front.

Agreed. 295/35 wasn’t available when I had my early hellcat. Best choice on a 9.5 -J

I can understand that but only due to traction. If you run a 20x11 and 315/35/20s with a 3.73-4.10 rear gear you’ll really improve the car dramatically as is with stock power but have those ready for when you add power. I ran 20x11” 315 Nitto DRs and a 4.10 gear to go 11.0@128 with stock air...

No not on a 9.5” But if you want to do the widening then it’s 315/35/20 time. For now I’d just rock the 295s if they can get them now. -J

Try another shop but I believe Nitto makes a 295 also? Either way it’s a great choice. I had my rear wheels widened to 11” at Weldcraft locally for around $500 -J

Welcome. Great knowledge base here. I ordered my ‘14 new and took it from stock to 1100rwhp and your power goals are easily doable. Just respect octane and RPM and you can make 750rwhp on pump and 800rwhp with boosters/E85. Have you addressed the rear gears or the tires? -J
