I bought an Impulse Blue GTO in 2004. Upgraded the hood, rear bumper, tail lights, and wheels. Added Pedders suspension. I thought it was a great car until I bought my GT350. Sold the GTO and my HHR SS shortly after. I just couldn't drive them anymore.

The diner shootout scene was apparently shot at a spot in Stevensville. The locals were very complimentary about the process. The crew removed and stored the vintage glass window and replaced it after the shot. They even hired local cleaners to clean up all the prop blood.

It was kind of cool seeing the tent city that appeared at our old mall site when they filmed all the interior shots of the capital a couple of years ago.

Looking at my tech transmission, it looks like the pump bosses are cast in but not drilled. I assume the cooler passages are also not drilled.

I don't know, an 8000 RPM big block sounds pretty awesome.
