This is footage from the first laps of this years 24 hour race on the Nürburgring. The GT (driven by Dirk Adorf) is leading the race, the GT3 RSR (driven by Marc Lieb) is obviously trying to get past.

And this is how the two cars look from the outside:
Neat piece of hardware, they're simulating a lap of the Nürburgring Nordschleife including acceleration/braking and cornering forces the engine would experience:

Obviously this car moves extremely well for a naturally aspirated I6 (and sounds rather good too), but the amount of go in that Porsche 935 at 2:20 is unreal.
The wheel to wheel stuff at 6:50 is nice to watch too.

Luckily I scored press passes to this year's Frankfurt Motor Show and on the press days virtually all of the cars are just sitting there unlocked for one to poke or sit inside.
Most of the pics were taken by my buddy Mike since my trusty cell phone cam didn't cope with the lighting all too...
Got a chance to go to the Nürburgring last monday, so I snapped some pics. Sorry about the quality, only had my cell phone with me.
