    Widening Alcoa Wheels

Hi Robert, I agree with your opinion. Had the 285s mounted today and I think it looks better on the rim and it does stick out too wide. The 285s are the keeper, 295s getting returned! So in the end, 275/35 up front and 285/35 seemed to work best for this car.

I put the rims on. Bought Michelin 4S for them Decided to go 275/35 in the front and 295/35 in the rear. Like the front, fit fine and look great. Rear fits fine too, but they do stick out a bit past the fenders. Wondering if they look too fat. Tire shop owner is flexible and going with a...

Looks good. I am thinking performance wise if the NTs are any good or if I should spend the extra.

I think I have settled on going with 275/35 for the front and 295/35 for the rear. Most tire shops assure me it will fit, including shops that have done this before. Anyone ever run the Nitto NT555G2? It's between these and the Pilot Sport 4 S. Thoughts?

Well I bought the 4 20x10 alcoa rims over the weekend. Thinking of just running 285/35 in the Pilot Sport 4S on all 4 corners. Think with that brand there will be any rubbing issues anywhere? Any comments are appreciated before I buy the rubber.

Interesting. The car is not lowered or anything, do you think the 285 will fit fine as is or will the fender need modification? I don't have a real desire to go with a wider tire, just mostly interested in having the alcoas. Sounds like a person might even be able to run 285s all around.

Robert, thanks for that. I feel confident that they will work up front. Do you know if a 285 tire (or larger) on the alcoa 20x10 will work in the rear with no issues? I had read somewhere that you need to go to a 275 with the alcoa in the back.

Not sure, maybe they never tried it. The rims are the super snake Alcoas that are not manufactured any more. Stamped Alcoa forced shelby 50 years. Is that what you are running in 20x10? I called Shelby Canada West and they think they will fit. So I have received mixed messages so thats why I...

I have just a stock 07 gt500. Not planning to modify the performance, but these rims have become available and I have always liked them but dont want to spend a lot of cash and find out they dont fit. Would the car need to be modified to run larger than 275 in the rear? No spacer needed for...

Thanks. How about brand? I hear Pilot sport might cause issues.

Ok thanks. I did not want to buy them and then discover an issue with hitting a strut or needing a spacer. What are the recommendations for best size tire to put on 20x10 when mounted on the front?

Hi Robert. Saw another post you had about the 20x10 Alcoa rims and running them on the front. Did you need to use spacers for that? I have a 2007 and a wondering if they will fit no issues, all the way around.
